Department of Tourism set to launch stakeholder forum
Monday, 27 June 2011
The National Department of Tourism (NDT) will launch the National Tourism Stakeholder Forum (NTSF) at Sandton Convention Centre on June 29.
The NTSF is aimed at enhancing partnerships for the implementation of the National Tourism Sector Strategy (NTSS). Stakeholders will include representatives from government, business, communications, knowledge groups, labour, NGOs and community-based organisations.

DG of the NDT, Kingsley Makhubela will launch the forum and the programme line-up includes a presentation by Deputy Director General of Policy, Research Monitory and Evaluation at the NDT, Victor Tharage, on the priorities, monitoring and evaluation of the NTSF.
The Department of Tourism says the success of the NTSS will depend entirely on the extent to which coordination, collaboration and cooperation takes place in its implementation. “To this end, the NTSS provides for the establishment of a multi-stakeholder delivery forum, also referred to as the NTSF.”
