KwaZulu Natal suppliers urged to take part in Emirates packages
Thursday, 03 February 2011

Emirates, in conjunction with Tourism KwaZulu Natal (TKZN), is urging provincial product to submit their details in consideration for packages currently being developed for passengers flying out of Dubai.

Since the launch of direct flights from Dubai to Durban in 2009, the airline has seen growth in overall passenger numbers. To date, the Emirates passenger statistics indicate that the key source markets for Durban are the UK, India, Germany and the rest of Europe.

“Emirates Airline reaches over 100 destinations around the world. Therefore, this offers an opportunity for Durban and KwaZulu Natal to create awareness in these destinations,” said Tourism KwaZulu Natal in a statement.

TKZN has therefore opened the process of inviting products to submit details for possible inclusion in a six-day stay-put KwaZulu Natal itinerary. It is planned that tourists will spend three nights in Durban and three nights in the Drakensberg or on a safari experience.

As a partner to this promotion, products will be promoted in over 100 Emirates Airline destinations globally.

Product suppliers interested in taking part in this packaging experience should contact boni@zulu.org.za or call 031 366 7523.
